This work Ice Cream is a serie of ceramic melted ice cream of the young artist Niek Peters (2015 graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy). The sculpture consist of a mixture of ceramic and enamel. Each ice cream is unique and there is only one of it! These ice creams symbolize the bygone youth, a time of innocence and simplicity. Result of an attempt at humor and tragedy, joy and disappointment translated into an absurd image that both appeals to the imagination as well is captivating in its simplicity.
